Description

The Bungoma-Malaba road is a key route connecting Bungoma County headquarters to the Malaba border post on the Northern Corridor. The road has been earmarked for upgrade as part of broader infrastructure improvements in western Kenya. Governor Kenneth Lusaka has highlighted the road alongside other stalled projects such as Musikoma-Dorufu, Sikata-Kimilili, and Misikhu-Brigadier roads, urging the national government to fast-track completion. The road serves heavy commercial traffic destined for Uganda and the Great Lakes region, as well as sugarcane transporters serving Nzoia Sugar Company and other mills. KeNHA and KeRRA have been involved in different sections of the road network improvements in Bungoma County.
