Description

The Chavakali-Hamisi-Serem road is being upgraded from murram to bitumen standard over approximately 20km. The road connects Chavakali, a major trading centre in Vihiga County, through Hamisi sub-county to Serem at the Vihiga-Nandi county border. The road passes through productive agricultural land growing tea, sugarcane, and maize. The upgrade improves inter-county connectivity between Vihiga and Nandi counties and provides better market access for farming communities. The project is funded through KeRRA and county government contributions.

Overview
