Description

The Garissa Solar Power Plant is a 50MW photovoltaic solar facility located in Garissa County, northeastern Kenya. Built by China Jiangxi Corporation with Chinese government funding, it features over 200,000 solar panels on a 200-acre site. The plant provides clean electricity to the national grid and was designed to serve the energy-poor northeastern region. It is one of the largest grid-connected solar plants in East Africa.
