Description
The Isebania-Kisii road rehabilitation is Lot 1 of the larger 172km Isebania-Kisii-Ahero A1 highway project, a critical international trunk road linking Tanzania, Kenya, and South Sudan. The project covers approximately 86km from Isebania at the Kenya-Tanzania border to Kisii town, plus associated feeder roads including Suneka-Rangwe-Olare (31km), Nyachenge-Tabaka-Ogembo (20km), and Nyamataro Loop road (4km). Funded jointly by the African Development Bank and Government of Kenya, the contract was awarded to China Henan International Corporation Group at KES 8.6 billion. The project includes a unique interchange and underpass at the Kisii-Migori junction.
