Description

The Kakamega-Webuye road is a critical 30km highway connecting Kakamega town to Webuye in Bungoma County. The road was upgraded to improve capacity and safety given the heavy traffic volumes between these two major towns. The project included carriageway widening, resurfacing, drainage improvements, and installation of road safety features. The road carries significant commercial traffic, particularly related to the sugar and paper industries, and serves as part of the broader Northern Corridor feeder network.

Overview

Key commercial corridor connecting Kakamega's administrative hub to Webuye's industrial zone
