Description

The Kendu Bay-Katito road is a 35km connector road linking Kendu Bay town on the shores of Lake Victoria to Katito junction on the A1 Isebania-Kisii-Ahero highway. The road passes through Old Kendu Bay, an important historical town and former administrative centre. The upgrade to bitumen standard was part of the broader program to improve feeder roads connecting to the A1 corridor. The Oyugis-Kendu Bay section (20km) was included in the A1 highway rehabilitation feeder roads program funded by the African Development Bank.
