Description
The Kilifi County Medical Complex is an expansion and modernization of the Kilifi County Referral Hospital. New facilities include an intensive care unit (ICU), modern operating theatres, a general ward expansion, a private wing, and an accident and emergency department. The hospital is co-located with the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme, one of Africa's most important medical research centers focused on malaria, bacterial, and viral childhood infections. The complex serves the entire 1.5 million population of Kilifi County.
