Proposed 825-895km underground crude oil pipeline from South Lokichar Basin to Lamu Port. 20-inch diameter heated pipeline carrying 80,000-120,000 barrels per day. Two pump stations and pressure reduction station. Oil to be stored in floating storage and offloading vessel (FSO) at Lamu Port.

Description

Proposed 825-895km underground crude oil pipeline from South Lokichar Basin to Lamu Port. 20-inch diameter heated pipeline carrying 80,000-120,000 barrels per day. Two pump stations and pressure reduction station. Oil to be stored in floating storage and offloading vessel (FSO) at Lamu Port. FEED completed by Wood Group Plc with two design options: onshore storage (KES 120B) or floating storage (KES 110B). Sub-component of broader LAPSSET Corridor. Currently on hold pending Gulf Energy's field development plan approval and commercial production commencement.
