Description
The Mombasa Cruise Terminal is a KES 450 million modern passenger facility at Berth 1 of the Port of Mombasa, structurally completed in July 2019. The eco-friendly, fully solar-powered terminal can dock two OASIS-class ships simultaneously (the world's largest cruise vessels, 360m LOA, 6,300 passengers each). Features include a passenger lobby, immigration center, duty-free shops, restaurants, conference facilities, and CCTV security. The terminal supports Kenya's coastal tourism sector, which accounts for ~4.4% of GDP. In February 2025, the Norwegian Dawn docked carrying 3,000+ passengers and crew.
