Description

This project involves upgrading the busy A8 highway from Nairobi to Mau Summit via Naivasha and Nakuru into a modern dual carriageway. The road is a critical link between Nairobi and western Kenya, serving heavy freight and passenger traffic to the Rift Valley, western Kenya, and onward to Uganda. The project has been implemented in several lots by different contractors, funded by a mix of government revenue, World Bank loans, and AfDB financing.
