Description

The Nyamira-Kisii road rehabilitation project covered the 20km stretch connecting Nyamira town to Kisii town, one of the busiest inter-county routes in the Gusii region. The project included carriageway widening, resurfacing, drainage improvement, and installation of safety features. The road serves as the primary transport link between two of Kenya's most densely populated counties and carries significant commercial and passenger traffic daily. The rehabilitation was funded through KeNHA and the national government road development program.

Overview

Primary link between two Gusii county capitals, serving combined population of over 2 million people
