Description
The Oyugis-Rangwe-Rodi Kopany road is a 30km feeder road being upgraded to bitumen standard as part of the Isebania-Kisii-Ahero A1 highway rehabilitation project Lot 2. The road connects Oyugis, a major trading town on the A1 highway, through Rangwe to Rodi Kopany on the shores of Lake Victoria. The upgrade is funded by the African Development Bank and the Government of Kenya. The road serves agricultural and fishing communities and passes through areas with historical significance including ancient archaeological sites near Kanam.
