Description
The Rironi-Mau Summit Expressway is a planned 175km toll expressway to be built alongside the existing A8 highway under a PPP concession model. The expressway will feature 4 lanes (expandable to 6), grade-separated interchanges, and electronic toll collection. It is being developed by a consortium led by Lingyun Industrial Group (later Vinci Highways was also involved). The project aims to separate express through-traffic from local traffic along the congested Nairobi-western Kenya corridor.
Overview
Will create Kenya's longest expressway, dramatically improving connectivity between Nairobi and western Kenya while introducing modern toll road infrastructure.
