Description
The Siaya-Bondo road rehabilitation project involved the complete resurfacing and widening of the 40km stretch connecting Siaya town to Bondo town. Bondo is a historically significant town near the shores of Lake Victoria and was formerly a district headquarters. The road had significantly deteriorated, with large potholes and eroded shoulders. The rehabilitation included drainage improvements, bridge repairs, and installation of speed bumps and road markings in trading centres. The project was funded through KeNHA and the national road maintenance levy.
