The Siaya-Bondo road connects Siaya town, the county headquarters, to Bondo town on the shores of Lake Victoria. The road has been upgraded to bitumen standards as part of broader road improvements in Siaya County. The route serves as a vital link for fishing communities, educational institutions including Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology in Bondo, and agricultural areas. The improved road has enhanced connectivity between the county's two main urban centres and facilitated trade and transport of fish from Lake Victoria landing sites. The road is also important for accessing Got Ramogi, a significant cultural and heritage site for the Luo community.
