Description

The Vihiga-Maseno-Kisumu road rehabilitation project covered the 25km stretch connecting Vihiga County through Maseno to Kisumu, western Kenya's largest city. The road passes through Maseno, home to Maseno University, one of Kenya's oldest academic institutions. The rehabilitation included resurfacing, drainage improvements, and installation of safety features. The road carries significant daily commuter traffic between the densely populated Vihiga County and Kisumu's commercial hub. It is part of the broader B1 road network connecting western Kenya to Lake Victoria.
